I wanted to improve my drawing skills, and so I undertook a series of increasingly difficult drawings. This is the second of three in that series.
This drawing is charcoal on toned paper. I drew this using a Camera Lucida to get the rough proportions
All the objects in the drawing have a specific purpose. The decanter adds the texture of shininess, the orchid adds life and complexity, the books add a matte texture, and the glass adds a reflective aspect.
